Shimano - Aerlex 10000 XTB Spod Reel
The new Aerlex series is a tough reel fitted with Instant Drag designed for heavy duty work, whether it is carp- or surf fishing. The new cosmetic design and the superb Aero Wrap II line lay with 2 speed Oscillation, combined with the AR-C spool produces the excellent casting performance required by both carp and surf anglers. A high torque 4,6:1 retrieve ratio gives the Aerlex the power to deal with heavy leads over rough ground. The SPOD version is equipped with a higher gear ratio of 5,3:1, which equals a retrieve of 115 cm, to make sure that the spod can be retrieved fast so more time can be spend fishing.
Shimano - Ultegra XTD Spod Reel
The Ultegra XTD SPOD is a new big pit reel, specially designed for spodding / markerfloat fishing for carp. It’s based on the successful Ultegra XTD 14000 carp reel and has similar features, except it has been adjusted to be perfect for spodding. These are the differences between normal Ultegra XTD and Ultegra SPOD XTD. - Shallow spool: for spodding less line capacity is needed. - Gear reatio: 5,2:1 instead of 4.3:1 : means more retrieving speed. - Retrieve speed: 124 cm instead of 103 cm per winch. - Line clips: 3 instead of 1. - Handleknob: Egg type instead of T-type for more grip. - Spare spool: 0 instead of 1. Therefore RRP is lower.
Shimano - Beastmaster 10000 XB Big Pit Reel
The Beastmaster XB is the renewed version of the Beastmaster XTA/XSA big pit reel. For this money, the angler will have an excellent working reel which is strong and durable. The 10000 size aluminum spool holds 0.35 mm -400m line, which is more than enough for both carp anglers who want to fish far out and surf anglers who want to make long casts. The instant drag is smooth and reliable. It has 1+1 A-RB bearings, the gear ratio is 4,6:1 and the line retrieve is 100 cm per reel handle turn (360 degrees). The reel is matt black painted with grey details: this color is chosen so the reel matches (color wise) with almost every rod in the market and this black colour is appreciated by carp anglers as well.

Shimano - Ultegra XT-D Big Pit Reel's
The Ultegra XT-D is developed with the carp angler in mind and the new reel will immediately catch the eye of the avid carp angler because of the improved matt black reel cosmetics. In addition to the new Ultegra reels the package is equipped with 1 extra spool and various types of line reducers. The Ultegra 14000 XT-D has 2x line reducers (10000/3500) and the 5500-series also has 2x line reducers (4500/3500). In combination with the line reducers the Ultegra XT-D gives the carp angler the opportunity to fish with different types of lines and respective line capacities according to the actual circumstances on the bank.
